CARBIDE INSERT DRAG BITS are ideal for drilling in soft to medium hard
formations when conditions do not warrant the use of tri-cone bits.
Our Carbide Insert Drag Bits are designed for a variety of applications
including seismic exploration, soil sampling, mining and construction.
We recommend the use of CARBIDE INSERT DRAG BITS on shallow hole
applications such as blast hole drilling. STEP-TYPE DRAG BITS are
effective in drilling soft and unconsolidated material. They are available
in sizes ranging from 3 7/8" through 12 ¼". This design offers fast pe-
netration and requires only moderate drilling weight for proper operation.
A large fluid/air flushing hole is incorporated into our STEP TYPE BITS
for efficient removal of cuttings.
CHEVRON-TYPE DRAG BITS are suggested for drilling in medium to me-
dium hard and consolidated formations. Best suited for abrasive conditions,
our VRON-TYPE BITS are available in sizes ranging from 1 7/8" to 8".
Additional weight may be required for effective operation. Superior design,
premium carbide and rugged construction of CARBIDE INSERT DRAG BITS
ensure effective scraping action for maximum drilling performance in a
variety of formations.
